These competition rules determine the general rules with regard to the participation conditions for all competitions that Monreef organizes via its website, other online channels (such as Instagram, Facebook, Tiktok) or in any other way. If specific conditions apply to a competition, special competition rules will also be drawn up for that competition.

The provisions of special competition rules take precedence over other provisions of these general competition rules.

In principle, anyone who is 18 years or older at the time of the competition can participate in a Monreef competition, with the exception of employees of the Monreef and their immediate family members up to the first degree. Minors may only participate in a competition if they have the express consent of both parents or their guardian. If a minor takes part in a competition, de Monreef assumes that he / she has permission from his / her parents / guardian. If the minor cannot provide this consent, he or her may be denied further participation in the competition at any time, or his / her right to a prize be taken away.

With the exception of any communication costs associated with the participation (eg paying fixed number, SMS, MMS,…), the participant does not owe any compensation or contribution to Monreef for participation in a competition.

Only 1 member of the same family in the sense of a small family or living at the same address can win a prize in the context of the same competition. After winning a prize, the participant cannot automatically win another prize within the framework of competitions organized by Monreef for 4 weeks from the announcement of the winner. In the event that the participant would have been selected as the winner for two or more (quasi) simultaneous running matches of Monreef, the participant will only win the prize of the competition in which he took part first.

2.4. Anyone who is declared the winner of a competition without fully complying with all participation conditions automatically loses their right to the prize, without any right to compensation and without any recourse.

If the competition is a knowledge question, the participant will be asked to provide the correct answer. If several participants submit a correct answer, the winner among them will be determined by a tiebreaker question or by drawing.

In the event that the competition involves a creative input by the participant, such as a photo, drawing (or painting), text or video, the winner or winners will be determined by Monreef according to the assessment criteria set by him. By participating in a competition with creative input, the participant grants Monreef the permission to publish this creative input, without any compensation being due, and without any limitation in time and space: • to publish on the (whether or not for mobile use adapted website (s) of Monreef and other online channels (such as Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, Pinterest…); The participant declares to have the necessary rights (intellectual property rights and personality rights) to allow this use of his creative contribution and indemnifies Monreef against all possible claims in connection with his creative contribution. This means that a creative contribution must be original, may only be created by the participant (s) and that no copyright or otherwise protected material from third parties has been incorporated in it (unless he / she has all necessary permissions from the rightholders). Monreef is under no circumstances obliged to effectively publish and use a creative contribution and can remove a creative contribution at any time and for any reason.

The prize may not be exchanged or converted into cash in any way, through any channel.

Monreef can change a price at any time for production or substantive reasons.

The prize is limited to the “naked” prize as further described in the special competition rules or in another way. It can in no way be assumed that Monreef would provide or award additional services or products linked to the price.

If the prize includes the right of access to participate in a certain activity (such as an event, guided visit, ...) then the prize also includes only that right of access, unless stated otherwise. It is the organizer of the activity who determines all 4 conditions. For example, he can request to be present at a specific time or place, or limit the right of access in time. If, for whatever reason, the winner cannot be present at the required time, he cannot claim compensation or compensation from Monreef and / or the organizer. If the organizer cancels the activity for any reason, the winner will not be entitled to an alternative prize or monetary compensation.

If the prize is a gift voucher, its validity may be limited in time. If, for whatever reason, the winner cannot exchange the gift voucher before the expiry of its validity, he cannot claim any compensation or compensation from Monreef and / or the organizer.

If the price concerns objects for which a guarantee scheme applies, the right to guarantee must be exercised directly with the manufacturer, importer or seller.

Monreef is not responsible for any damage, bodily injuries or accidents that may occur as a result of winning a prize and / or participating in a competition.

Monreef is not responsible for not being able to deliver a prize if the participant provided insufficient, incomplete or incorrect contact details when participating.

Monreef is not responsible for any defects of the mail and / or courier companies in the delivery of a prize (such as delay, damage, strike or loss). For example, if a prize is sent by registered mail or by courier and it cannot be delivered to the winner, then Monreef will not be responsible if the winner does not collect the prize at a later time. Even if, for example, the message has been lost or damaged in an unacceptable manner, Monreef cannot be held liable. When delivering a prize for which urgency applies (such as the right to access an event, for example), the participant may be asked to be available at a specific time. In case of unavailability, Monreef can award the prize to another participant, without any recourse. If the prize is not collected by the winner within the foreseen period or if he does not fulfill the required (confirmation) formalities within the foreseen period, the participant will forfeit his right to the prize and Monreef may award the prize to another participant, without any story.

Printing, spelling, typesetting or other errors as well as technical problems (including eg e-mail communication) cannot be invoked as grounds for any obligation or liability whatsoever on the part of / at the expense of Monreef.

If Monreef is forced to postpone, shorten or withdraw a competition, change the competition rules or adjust the competition formula, Monreef cannot be held liable for this in any way.

If the course of this match would be disrupted by a technical incident, Monreef will do everything in its power to neutralize these disruptive effects. Monreef cannot be held liable for any disadvantage that may result from these technical incidents. Monreef's decision and result are final and binding.

Monreef is not liable for incidents that may arise from the acceptance of the prize by the winner. Monreef cannot be held responsible or liable for any defect in the price or if the price does not meet the expectations created.

The exclusion or limitation of the liability of Monreef in this article does not affect the fact that Monreef will in any case be liable for its intentional act or grave error or that of its employees or agents or for the non-performance of its main obligations under the match.

The personal data of the participants is processed by Monreef. These data are subject to the law of 30 July 2018 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and all Belgian regulations implementing the GDPR. Monreef's policy with regard to this personal data can be consulted under the section 'privacy statement' as stated on the Monreef website.

By participating, participants agree that if they win a prize, they can possibly appear with photo, name and place of residence on the website and other online channels (such as instagram, Facebook, Tiktok, Pinterest ...), as well as the website and online channels of any co-organizers, as well as in the written press, as well as being filmed for a (television) report about the competition.

Monreef supervises the correct course of the match. In case not all conditions of the rules are met or in case of abuse, deception, deceit or bad faith, Monreef reserves the right to exclude the participant concerned from the competition and also - permanently or not - from other to rule out matches from Monreef. In such cases, Monreef also reserves the right to request a refund from the participant of any prize already handed over and to claim compensation for damage suffered by Monreef (including damage to its reputation).

The result of a match is binding and irrevocable. He cannot be challenged. No correspondence can be entered into (by letter, e-mail or telephone) with Monreef or the organizer of the competition about the results and the course of a competition. Decisions to identify winners are final.

If a competition is organized together with one or more parties, the provisions of these regulations that refer to Monreef should be read as referring to both Monreef and the co-organizer(s).

By participating in Monreef competitions, the participant fully accepts these competition rules and all decisions that Monreef will make in connection with the competition. All additional announcements in connection with the competition are considered as rules. 9.2. If required, Monreef can adjust these general competition rules. These regulations are published on the Monreef website and can be printed there if desired.
